Play Group Leader: Lullabys Montessori & Afterschool

Lullabys’ Childcare was established in Fairview, Dublin in 2006. At Lullabys we are committed to providing early years and school-aged care and education of the highest standard. Lullabys is committed to providing a full daycare and afterschool service of the highest standard.

Lullabys provides an excellent service for children from 12 months to 5 years in our full daycare creche and school-aged care in our afterschool service in St. Josephs’ CBS. We also aim to provide the perfect environment for children to develop their social, personal, and educational skills and learn through play-based and Montessori curricula, including school collections and a homework club in our afterschool service.

Play Group Leader is a vital role in the care of the children. Responsibilities include:
supervises children’s games and encourages the development of physical, social and language skills;
provides play areas and prepares materials for a wide range of children’s activities;
encourages children’s independence, self-confidence and social interaction;
organises and supervises children on excursions;
organises and supervises children’s activities in accordance with Health and Safety regulations,
deals accordingly with injuries and emergencies;
puts away equipment and cleans premises after use;
liaises with parents, carers and colleagues and keeps appropriate records

Job Requirements:
At least 2 years relevant experience with a proven track record in demanding childcare environments required. Relevant academic professional qualifications are desirable, or to gain them while in employment. Operational fluency in English at a level appropriate for childcare provision and team work essential.
