We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Safeguarding Specialist Nurse for Safeguarding Children to join the PHN Safeguarding Team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to utilise and further develop their specialist safeguarding expertise within a dynamic and supportive environment, providing leadership and contributing to the ongoing development of the safeguarding children agenda across the organisation.

For this role you must:

  • Hold the relevant nursing / midwifery qualifications
  • Have extensive post qualification experience, including significant working knowledge of safeguarding children and providing safeguarding supervision

Main duties of the job

The post holder will join a team delivering the safeguarding service for the Devon Public Health Nursing service,providingspecialist advice, guidance,supervisionand training to all Public Health Nursing staff members,supporting highquality, evidencebased professional practice across the service.

Although the role is based in Exeter, this is a hybrid position, with a combination of officebased and remote working. The role will also involve travel to Public Health Nursing localities across Devon asrequired.Ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act.
