About the Role:

(Company Name - Subscribers only) Whitehill Lane, Aylesbury is a small, moderate volume community pharmacy located inside the GP practice. Our pharmacy team works closely with the GP practice to provide seamless healthcare to the local community. We are passionate about patient care and seek like-minded pharmacists who share our enthusiasm for developing and delivering pharmacy services. Utilising the clinical skills of pharmacists with the support of our trained pharmacy teams, you will be pivotal in driving patient care and business growth.

As the Pharmacy Manager, you will use your skills to develop and build the business, as well as your clinical knowledge to enhance patient care. Whether you are new to management or experienced, this opportunity offers training, support, and career development within our team.

We offer a structured Pharmacy Foundation Training program, and you will have the chance to become a tutor and support the next generation of pharmacists.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support the pharmacy team.
  • Ensure safe and efficient provision of pharmacy services.
  • Deliver agreed KPIs and develop the pharmacy business.
  • Proactively engage with and provide NHS and private pharmacy services such as Hypertension Case Finding, Pharmacy First, NMS, Travel Vaccinations.
  • Support all dispensing processes including any care homes, to ensure safe and efficient service.
  • Oversee and develop OTC offerings.
  • Ensure staff adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Support staff training and development.
  • Manage pharmacy opening/closing procedures.
  • Engage in mandatory CPD and attend training events.

Requirements:

  • Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
  • Good understanding of community pharmacy and its framework.
  • Post-qualification management experience (not essential).
  • "Can Do" and "Get the job done" attitude.
  • Prepared to lead by example.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Customer-focused and friendly.
  • Excellent numeracy skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to achieve positive results.
  • Ability to prioritise workload.

Training:

  • Management training and coaching.
  • Fully progressive program with a formal pathway.
  • Foundation Year Pharmacist Tutor Training.
  • First Aid and CPR Training.
  • Option to apply for the Pharmacist Independent Prescribing Program.

Pay: £48,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
