Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient dispensing of medications to patients. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care and adherence to pharmacy regulations. The Pharmacy Dispenser will work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional service and support to our patients.

Duties

  • Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of medication orders, including counting, measuring, and mixing pharmaceuticals.
  • Provide medication administration support under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medication history and allergies, to ensure optimal patient care.
  • Engage with patients to provide information about their medications, including usage, side effects, and storage instructions.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to resolve any medication-related issues or queries.
  • Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organised, and compliant with health and safety standards.
  • Participate in inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering supplies as needed.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser with 2years experience is required.
  • Strong understanding of medication administration protocols and patient care practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy in dispensing medications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of service.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients and team members.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
  • Relevant qualifications in pharmacy or related fields are advantageous but not mandatory.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £11.50-£12.50 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
