An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Night Veterinary Surgeon to join a leading 24-hour hospital in Shrewsbury. This role is ideally suited to a vet with an interest in emergency and critical care, who enjoys the challenge of working with a varied caseload and delivering exceptional overnight care.

As Night Vet, you’ll take the lead in managing inpatients through the night, ensuring their care and comfort, as well as handling emergency consultations and performing any required out-of-hours surgeries. You’ll be supported throughout your shift by a Registered Veterinary Nurse and a Twilight ANA, ensuring a collaborative and manageable workload.

The hospital is equipped to a high standard, with facilities including:
– Two theatre suites (one dedicated to advanced surgeries)
– A dedicated dental suite
– Five consulting rooms
– Separate wards for dogs and cats, supporting feline-friendly practice

You’ll also be part of a highly skilled clinical team, which includes surgical certificate holders, providing an excellent learning environment and opportunity to further develop ECC skills.

Rota & Hours
7 nights on, followed by 14 nights off
Average 31.1 hours per week on a 3-week rota
Shift pattern: 19:00 u2013 08:00
