About the role:

At St Teresa’s we provide holistic care for 26 residents, including those living with dementia, in a warm, supportive environment guided by our values of compassion, dignity, and respect.

Your role as a care assistant

As a night care assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing of our residents, ensuring they feel safe, comfortable, and cared for throughout the night. You’ll provide essential care and support when it’s needed most.

  • Provide person-centred care to our residents, ensuring their safety, comfort, and wellbeing.
  • Support with personal care, mobility assistance and respond to resident needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided.
  • Administer and manage medication safely and responsibly.
  • Work closely with colleagues and senior staff to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain a calm, reassuring presence during the night.
  • Ensure confidentiality and dignity for all residents.

What we are looking for

  • A caring, compassionate, and patient approach
  • Reliability and the ability to work independently at night
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Experience administering medication safely and confidently.
  • Experience using a mobile phone or tablet to record care notes
  • 6 months’ experience working in elderly residential care
