Motor Vehicle Technician: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

Connolly Motor Group is recruiting multiple Motor Vehicle Technicians for their premises at Drumiskabole, Carraroe, Co Sligo.

The salary range starts from €36,605 to €56,000 based on a 39-hour week. Salary may be more based on experience and will increase proportionately if additional hours are required.

The role: The successful candidate will be required to diagnose, repair, and maintain ICE, HEV & EV Vehicles within the Service department. You will be required to deliver a high standard of repair within the workshop in line with specifications set out by manufacturer and processes set out by Connolly Motor Group. Role Responsibilities:

· Carry out warranty repairs in line with manufacturer and company processes and guidelines.

· Diagnosis, repairs, and servicing of vehicles to the highest standards and to the appropriate manufacturer specification

· Using diagnostic equipment and a systematic approach, ensure vehicle faults are diagnosed and rectified.

· Ensure full understanding of latest technology introduced on the vehicle range and how to diagnose and repair faults on them.

· Guide and assist lower qualified technicians and apprentices in correct procedures and processes in diagnosing and repairing vehicles to improve the overall knowledge and skills in the workshop.

· Complete relevant service documentation (Job sheets, PDI’s, service reports) in line with ISO, warranty, and Dealership requirements

The person: Skills and Competencies:

· Minimum equivalent to an Irish level 6 Motor Technician qualification

· Must be a Volvo certified Master (Ultimate) Technician and can supply certification and proof of this training

· Excellent written and spoken English (Volvo Master Technician role has a customer facing element)

· A full and valid driving license that can be transferred to an Irish licence if necessary is essential for this role.

· Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in vehicle services and repairs since qualification

· Ability to work within a team.

· Ability to work on own initiative.

· Display a keen interest in Motor Vehicles

· Interested in working in a fast-paced environment.

· Attention to detail is fundamental to ensure quality is consistently delivered.

· Continuous improvement mindset, willing to attend brand training as required to maintain up to date knowledge.

· Ability and interest in interacting with customers to better understand faults to resolve in a timely manner.

· Build strong interdepartmental relationships and pay close attention to other departments requirements.

· Work independently in a busy, active environment, managing own time and workflow effectively.

· Present a consistently professional image to both internal and external customers, through attitude, behaviour, and personal appearance.

· Strong problem-solving ability to identify and resolve queries.
