Light Commercial Vehicle Mechanics: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

Our client, Marcin & Piotr Motors Santry Limited t/a MP Motors, based in Co. Dublin, is currently seeking Light Commercial Vehicle Mechanics for immediate start for their facility in Santry, Co. Dublin.

Duties & Responsibilities

– To be responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of light commercial vehicles to ensure maximum operational efficiency, compliance with road safety standards, and minimal downtime.
– To perform diagnostic tests on light commercial vehicles, completing repairs, and ensuring vehicles are safe and adhere to regulatory standards.
– Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues on LCVs using diagnostic tools and software.
– Carry out routine servicing, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
– Repair and replace parts including engines, brakes, suspension, and transmission
– Perform pre-NCT checks and ensure all vehicles meet required safety and compliance standards.
– Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repairs carried out.
– Respond to breakdowns and perform roadside assistance when required.
– Collaborate with the Fleet Manager to schedule maintenance and ensure minimal disruption to operations.
– Ensure all work is performed in line with company health and safety procedures and environmental regulations.
– Ensure that all repairs and maintenance work meet or exceed regulatory standards

Requirements & Experience
– Candidate must be competent to carry out all duties listed above
– Minimum 3 years of experience working on light commercial vehicles as a mechanic
– Mechanic qualification is an advantage but is not required
– Experience in carrying out routine servicing and preventive & reactive maintenance on commercial fleet vehicles is required
– Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
– Ability to check and assess vehicles for road safety requirements and testing
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Flexibility for occasional overtime and on-call duties.
– Experience with vehicle diagnostic software (e.g. TEXA, Snap-on).
– Familiarity with health & safety protocols in a workshop environment.

Annual Remuneration: €34,000.00; Pay rate €16.77 per hour
