Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. The Kitchen Porter plays a crucial role in supporting the kitchen staff by ensuring that the kitchen is clean, organised, and well-equipped for food preparation. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the culinary arts and wish to gain valuable experience in a hotel or restaurant setting.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or cooks.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Help maintain inventory levels by reporting any shortages of supplies or equipment.
- Support chefs during busy service periods by providing assistance where needed.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Participate in regular cleaning schedules, including deep cleaning tasks as required.
Skills
- Previous experience in a hotel, restaurant, or hospitality setting is advantageous but not essential.
- Basic knowledge of culinary practices and food preparation techniques.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure cleanliness and orderliness.
- Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with kitchen staff.
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities within the kitchen.

Pay: From £11.44 per hour
