Job Overview
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our office by providing administrative support and facilitating effective communication across departments. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong background in financial planning and financial services, who are looking to contribute to a dynamic work environment.
The Investment Fund Administrator plays a critical role in the management and oversight of investment funds. This position involves ensuring accurate fund valuations, compliance with regulatory requirements, and timely processing of transactions. The role is essential for maintaining operational efficiency and supporting the delivery of high-quality services to fund managers and investors.
Key Responsibilities
1. Fund Administration:
- Maintain accurate and timely records of all fund transactions, including subscriptions, redemptions, and distributions.
- Calculate Net Asset Value (NAV) for funds, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Manage the fund’s cash flow, including processing payments, monitoring receipts, and reconciling bank accounts.
2. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure that all fund activities comply with relevant regulations, fund prospectuses, and internal policies.
- Prepare reports and documentation required by regulatory authorities.
- Support audits by providing necessary documentation and liaising with auditors.
3. Client Services:
- Serve as the main point of contact for fund managers, investors, and other stakeholders.
- Address client queries related to fund performance, reporting, and other administrative matters.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues and improve processes.
4. Reporting and Record-Keeping:
- Prepare regular financial statements and investor reports, ensuring they are accurate and delivered on time.
- Maintain records of fund activity, investor profiles, and compliance documentation.
- Produce custom reports for fund managers and stakeholders as required.
5. Risk and Operational Oversight:
- Monitor fund operations to identify and mitigate risks.
- Ensure proper controls are in place for fund accounting and transaction processing.
- Support the implementation of new processes and technologies to enhance efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in fund administration, accounting, or financial services (relevant internships may also be considered).
- Knowledge of financial instruments, fund structures (e.g., mutual funds, hedge funds, private equity), and regulatory frameworks.
- Proficiency in fund administration software and tools (e.g., Bloomberg, Investran, or FundApps).
Skills and Attributes:
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
