We are recruiting HR Compliance Officer to provide a professional and quality compliance support service to the wider HR team, internal clients and third-party members. The team is based in our Birmingham office.

Our standard working hours are 9.30am-5.30pm, however, we are happy to consider flexible working requests.

Candidate Overview

We are looking for candidates who ideally hold the following skills and experience:

  • Subject matter expert on UK right to work requirements and a point of contact and escalation for the business.
  • Manage the complete visa lifecycle of Non-EEA employees sponsored by the Firm. Provide advisory support throughout the initial process then continue to be the key contact for visa related queries and tasks relating this this employee type.
  • Oversee the processing of Tier 5 GAE visa applications.
  • Assume responsibility for the Firm’s sponsorship licences. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; ensuring that migrant activity is reported in line with the immigration rules, co-ordinating and submitting applications to renew licences, informing UKVI of changes within the business that may affect the Firm’s sponsorship licences.
  • Support HR Business Partners and Global Mobility team with all UK immigration queries.
  • Audit the HR System to ensure all right to work documentation provides the business with a statutory excuse in line with Home Office guidance.
  • Assume responsibility for all HR data Subject Access Requests. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; co-ordinating team to ensure adequate resourcing, liaising with the HR Director and relevant Group HR contact, liaise with Firm’s Privacy team, ensuring clear instructions are given IT/Finance where required, ensure the Data Subject remains informed throughout the process, assist with compiling the requested information where necessary.
  • Review risk register and regularly review levels of risk within the business based around compliance activities.
  • Continuously review all employee vetting processes. Evaluate effectiveness and seek feedback from internal users and external candidates
  • Compose communications to ensure that responsibilities are clearly defined and understood in terms of HR Compliance.
  • Challenge non-compliance within the HR team and wider business. Always ensure that business reputation is paramount and continually reinforce the risks the Firm may be exposed to by not adhering to regulatory obligations.
  • Provide high quality data and data analysis to the wider HR team, internal clients and external third parties as required.
