Our client is an international group searching for a Group Tax Manager to join a close-knit tax team located in Guildford.
The company has operations in the UK, Sri Lanka, India, North America, and Continental Europe. It continues to grow organically and is also highly acquisitive. As the Group Tax Manager, you will report to the Head of Tax and be supported by the Assistant Tax Manager. Some of your responsibilities include:
- Management of the UK corporate tax compliance (the preparation of tax returns is outsourced but requires project management and review).
- This will include working closely with advisors on the US tax compliance.
- Tax accounting including interim and full year group reporting under IFRS and UK statutory accounts.
- Transfer pricing including the preparation of group master file; annual management recharge calculations; working with the businesses to enhance documentation and review approaches.
- Tax risk and governance (e.g. CCO, tax strategy, tax policy, BRR+, etc).
- Substantial element of ad hoc planning/project work like entity rationalisation, restructuring, and post-acquisition integration work for new acquisitions.
Ideally, you are a CTA or ACA qualified UK corporate tax professional with a good understanding of tax accounting and exposure to international tax/transfer pricing/cross-border tax planning. These parameters are flexible and open to include other tax skill sets to an extent.
