About the Position:

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing and analysing environmental samples
  • Using advanced laboratory techniques – we’ll provide training
  • Collecting, processing, and interpreting data, ensuring accuracy and compliance with quality standards
  • Supporting the maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments and troubleshooting any technical issues
  • Documenting results, assisting in report preparation, and ensuring strict adherence to environmental safety regulations

About you:

  • You’re excited about science and want to use your skills to make a real difference in the world
  • You’re eager to learn new techniques and technologies and thrive in a hands-on, laboratory-based role
  • You’re highly detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and precision in your work
  • You’re a great communicator, both written and verbal, and enjoy working as part of a collaborative team

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • A passion for science and an interest in environmental or analytical work
  • 5 GCSEs at Grade C or above, including Science, Maths, and English
  • An A-level or equivalent in a scientific subject
  • Ability to follow instructions and procedures with precision
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to keep accurate records
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team
