We are seeking a skilled Electrical Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing and overseeing the financial aspects of electrical installations and construction projects, ensuring they are completed within budget. Your expertise in cost management and precise estimation will play a vital role in the successful financial execution of our projects.
Responsibilities:
- Generate accurate cost estimates for electrical components of construction projects, including materials, labor, and equipment.
- Perform detailed cost analysis and value engineering to pinpoint opportunities for cost reduction.
- Oversee project budgets, tracking expenditures and financial progress throughout the project lifecycle.
- Work closely with project managers and electrical engineers to devise cost-effective strategies.
- Assess and evaluate contractor bids and proposals with a focus on electrical work.
- Prepare comprehensive reports detailing the financial status, progress, and forecasted risks of projects.
- Conduct site visits to monitor electrical work and ensure adherence to technical specifications.
- Offer expert advice on contractual issues related to electrical cost adjustments and project variations.
- Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions pertaining to the electrical aspects of projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Electrical Engineering, or a related field with a focus on electrical systems.
- Demonstrable experience as an Electrical Quantity Surveyor or in a similar role within the construction or electrical industry.
- In-depth understanding of cost control techniques and principles specific to electrical work.
- Proficiency in using quantity surveying software relevant to electrical construction.
- Exceptional analytical skills with a strong aptitude for mathematics.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in financial estimations and cost management.
- Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
