Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Domiciliary Care Workers to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in need, including seniors and those with disabilities, ensuring their comfort and well-being. Your responsibilities will encompass a variety of tasks aimed at enhancing the quality of life for our clients in their own homes.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Administer medication as prescribed and monitor clients’ health conditions
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary requirements and preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Document daily activities, changes in client condition, and any concerns to ensure effective communication with healthcare professionals.
- Carry out heavy lifting tasks when necessary to assist clients with mobility aids or equipment.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in client condition to the appropriate personnel.
- Provide first aid when necessary and respond effectively to emergencies.
Skills
- Proficient in medication administration and understanding of health-related protocols.
- Knowledge of first aid principles and practices is beneficial.
- Strong meal preparation skills with an emphasis on nutrition and dietary restrictions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect towards clients.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, ensuring collaborative care delivery.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving.
- Ability to understand and implement care plans effectively.
- A genuine passion for providing high-quality care and support to individuals in need.
- Valid driving licence with access to a vehicle.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Minimum 6 months care experience
- Proficient in meal preparation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks
- Excellent communication skills
- Familiarity with care plans and nutrition guidelines
- Ability to manage behaviors effectively
Essential Requirements
- Driving licence with own vehicle (required)
- Please note that this position is subject to satisfactory references and DBS check.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: £11.60-£13.16 per hour
Expected hours: 18 – 40 per week
