Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CyberSecurity Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safeguarding our organisation’s information systems and ensuring the integrity, confidentiality, and availability of data. This role involves monitoring security systems, responding to incidents, and implementing security measures to protect against cyber threats. Responsibilities

Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and potential threats.
Implement and manage security measures across cloud infrastructure, including Google Cloud Platform.
Conduct incident management by identifying, responding to, and mitigating security incidents.
Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure configurations of systems, including openSUSE and Citrix environments.
Utilise tools such as Burp Suite for vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.
Maintain documentation of security policies, procedures, and incident reports.
Provide support for network protocols including Ethernet and BGP.
Develop scripts using PowerShell to automate security tasks and improve efficiency.
Conduct regular audits of systems and networks to ensure compliance with security standards.

Requirements

Proven experience in a cybersecurity role or related field.
Strong knowledge of cloud infrastructure, particularly Google Cloud Platform.
Familiarity with incident management processes and tools.
Experience with openSUSE or similar Linux distributions is advantageous.
Proficiency in using Burp Suite for web application security testing.
Understanding of network protocols including Ethernet and BGP.
Ability to write scripts in PowerShell for automation purposes.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with technical teams.
