CT Senior Radiographer: (Company Name - Subscribers only)

Sherwood Forest Hospitals are seeking an experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Radiographer to join our friendly and supportive CT team, working across both Newark and King’s Mill sites.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with previous CT experience who is looking to further develop their skills. We offer comprehensive training and development, with exposure to a wide range of examinations including Emergency Department, Inpatients and Outpatients.

Our Trust currently operates four GE CT scanners, with services running seven days a week and extended hours. We are also expanding to five scanners with the opening of a new Community Diagnostic Centre (CDC) at Mansfield Community Hospital in April 2026, which will include a GE Apex 160 scanner for cardiac imaging.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform high-quality X-ray examinations in accordance with IRR17, IR(ME)R17, and local rules.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and external MDT teams to ensure excellent patient care and service efficiency.
  • Maintain a safe working environment in line with Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and related legislation.

Working Pattern:

  • Includes weekends, evenings, and bank holidays.
  • Cross-site working and scanner rotation are required.

If you are passionate about patient care, keen to grow professionally, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we would love to hear from you.

About us

We are an award-winning (Company Name - Subscribers only) Foundation Trust working alongside health and social care colleagues across the county to provide acute and community healthcare services to more than 420,000 people across Mansfield, Ashfield, Newark and Sherwood, and parts of Derbyshire and Lincolnshire.

We put the patient at the heart of everything that we do and it is our aim to make sure that every patient is treated as we would want a member of our own family to be treated. At the same time, we expect our staff to be caring, kind and courteous to each other and to look out for each other. We believe that we are truly a clinically-led organisation.

We are proud that our Trust colleagues have voted us the best acute Trust to work for in the East Midlands for seven years running in the National (Company Name - Subscribers only) Staff Survey, while the Care Quality Commission has rated our Trust as ‘outstanding’ for care and our King’s Mill Hospital as the only ‘outstanding’ (Company Name - Subscribers only)-run hospital in the East Midlands.
