Role of Care Worker
(Company Name - Subscribers only) is looking on an urgent basis for a Care Worker to join our organisation. The Care Worker’s primary role is to deliver personal care and assistance to a customer in his/her own home. Care Workers are responsible for implementing the requirements of the customer care plan, performing the identified care duties, and promoting customer comfort, dignity, and well-being.
Qualities.
Essential qualities of a Care Worker include having a genuine concern for others, having the ability to demonstrate kindness, compassion, and patience, follow instructions and maintain confidentiality, be punctual, have good English language proficiency with good written and verbal skills.
Responsibilities of a Care Worker include.
Assist the customer with activities of living i.e. bathing, showering, continence care etc. as outlined in the customer care plan. Pay due care and attention to all aspects of care duties carried out on behalf of the customer.
Always carry out personal care with respect and dignity, demonstrating sensitivity and empathy with the customer. Provide a high standard of care in line with the requirements outlined in the customer care plan.
Qualifications & Experience
The Care Worker should have obtained relevant QQI Level 5 qualification in health and care or must have a minimum of 2 years experience as a Care Worker and be able to undertake the relevant QQI Level 5 qualification, as outlined above, within two years of start of his employment in our organization. Experience in caring for others in a professional capacity is desirable.
