Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential support to individuals in care homes or home care settings, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to follow care plans while fostering a supportive environment for those in need.

Duties

  • Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Implement care plans tailored to each individual’s needs, ensuring that all aspects of care are delivered effectively.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, encouraging social interaction and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of care provided and report any changes in clients’ conditions to the appropriate personnel.
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required, ensuring their safety during transportation.
  • Utilise IT systems for documentation and communication purposes, ensuring that all information is up-to-date and accessible.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care and support.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in English is essential for effective communication with clients and team members.
  • Previous experience in home care or a care home setting is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided.
  • Ability to understand and implement care plans accurately.
  • A valid driving licence is preferred for transporting clients as needed.
  • Strong IT skills for managing documentation and communication effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families.
  • A caring attitude with a commitment to providing high-quality support to individuals in need.

Pay: £13.20-£14.80 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
