A well-respected and CQC compliant nursing home in Burton-on Trent, that provides general elderly nursing and dementia care packages is looking to recruit Care Assistants and Senior Care Assistants to join their friendly, hardworking team.
Details of this Staff Nurse position:
- A permanent contract with full or part-time hours available
- Day or night shifts available
- Great pay rates from £12.22 – £12.75 per hour
Your duties as a Care Assistant:
- Monitoring the wellbeing of each resident, being aware of any change impacting on care and care plans, ensuring that new needs are met, and written records are amended to reflect any variation.
- Being involved in the person-centred care planning process, by implementing, monitoring, and undertaking monthly evaluations.
- Supporting residents with their medication requirements.
- Undertaking staff supervisions and supporting staff with their development where required.
- Acting as a key point for contact with residents, their relatives and visitors, as well as health and social care professionals involved in their wellbeing, ensuring that any reasonable requests are acted upon, and concerns or complaints are escalated.
The skills, experience and qualifications required for this Care Assistant post:
- You will ideally hold an NVQ 2 or NVQ 3 or equivalent in care for care homes, however we will consider candidates with the right personality and attitude, who are willing to undertake suitable training and qualifications
- The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- A positive attitude to both supporting and nurturing residents and staff.
- Be responsive and flexible to cover a range of responsibilities.
- Above all, you will be a friendly, helpful and dedicated team player
- You MUST have access to a vehicle, due to the locality of the service
