Our client, Marcin & Piotr Motors Santry Limited t/a MP Motors, based in Co. Dublin, is currently seeking Car Mechanics for immediate start for their facility in Santry, Co. Dublin.
Duties & Responsibilities
– Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in vehicles using diagnostic tools and test drives.
– Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake servicing, tyre repairs, alignments, and fluid checks.
– Carry out repairs on engines, transmissions, steering systems, suspension, exhaust systems, and other mechanical components.
– Inspect vehicles for faults, wear, and potential issues, providing accurate repair recommendations.
– Complete service and repair records accurately and in line with company procedures.
– Ensure all work is carried out to manufacturer standards and meets safety and compliance requirements.
– Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers regarding necessary repairs and timelines.
– Maintain a clean, organised, and safe workshop area.
– Keep up to date with new vehicle technologies, diagnostic methods, and repair procedures.
Requirements & Experience
– Candidate must be competent to carry out all duties listed above
– Minimum 3 years of previous experience working as a mechanic
– Mechanic/motor technician qualification is an advantage but is not required
– Proven experience working as a car mechanic or vehicle technician.
– Experience working in a garage and with fleet of vehicles
– Knowledge of vehicle electronics and diagnostics
– Strong mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic skills.
– Ability to use modern diagnostic equipment and workshop tools.
– Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
– Strong communication and customer service skills.
– Commitment to maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Annual Remuneration: €34,000.00; Pay rate €16.77 per hour
