Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Brick Mason to join our team. As a Brick Mason, you will be responsible for constructing and repairing walls, floors, and other structures using bricks, concrete blocks, and other materials. This is a skilled trade position that requires expertise in masonry and bricklaying techniques.

Duties:
– Lay bricks to construct walls, partitions, and other structures according to blueprints or specifications
– Mix mortar or grout and spread it onto the brickwork using a trowel
– Use hand tools such as hammers, chisels, and levels to shape and align bricks
– Cut bricks to size using power tools or specialized equipment
– Repair or replace damaged bricks or structures
– Install firebricks or refractory tiles in high-temperature environments such as furnaces or kilns
– Work on various projects including residential buildings, commercial structures, and outdoor features like patios or chimneys
– Collaborate with other construction professionals such as carpenters or welders to complete projects

Skills:
– Proficient in masonry and bricklaying techniques
– Knowledge of different types of bricks, blocks, and other construction materials
– Ability to read blueprints or construction plans
– Familiarity with hand tools used in masonry work
– Experience using power tools for cutting or shaping bricks
– Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain precise measurements
– Physical stamina to perform manual labor for extended periods of time
– Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues on the job
