Full-time: 35 hours per week
Fixed Term contract: 3 years, 10 months*
The Opportunity:
This is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic research group of Prof. Katrin Ottersbach as a Bioinformatician at the post-doctoral level and work on identifying cell-intrinsic and cell-extrinsic drivers of infant leukaemia using and integrating multiomics datasets with a view to developing new therapeutic targets for this devastating disease. The lab is located in the Centre for Regenerative Medicine within the newly formed Institute for Regeneration and Repair at the world-class (Company Name - Subscribers only) and provides a stimulating research environment with access to cutting-edge technology and expertise in a wide range of stem cell and disease models.
This post is full-time (35 hours per week); however, we are open to considering part-time or flexible working patterns. We are also open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.
Your skills and attributes for success:
- A PhD, or near completion, in Mathematics, Physics, Computational Science, Genomics, Genetics, Computational Biology (or similar), and a passion for problem solving.
- Understanding of single cell transcriptome and/or genome data analysis.
- Understanding, experience and/or published outcomes from analysing and interpreting large datasets.
- Experience in using statistical (e.g. R) and/or programming (e.g. Python, Java) languages.
- Strong analytical and statistical skills.
