Job overview
The RFL Director of Efficiency & Clinical Productivity leads and supports achievement of the Royal Free London’s group-wide goals and governing objectives through the delivery of a portfolio of major programme and change activity. The role supports the organisational wide delivery capacity, particularly around improving productivity and sustainability through core activities such as CIP delivery and efficiency plans, and the successful delivery of major change that will deliver multi-year productivity improvement. The role will provide the Director level leadership to the development and delivery of the annual Efficiency & Clinical Productivity Programme.
The role will need to build relationships and influence delivery across a range of portfolios, to include digital, technology and workforce transformation as well as a series of projects focused on successful implementation of tactical CIP and strategic service changes, this role is fundamental to creating the expert support to the Group and the Health Units to successfully deliver changes that improve services, increase value, reduce unwarranted variation in costs, and improve the delivery capability of the organisation. The delivery of this portfolio will help stabilise the Royal Free London’s underlying financial position and create a secure platform from which further and more radical transformation for future sustainability and improvements to the model of care can take place.
Main duties of the job
Working closely with leaders across the Royal Free London Group in operating highly effective and rigorous financial improvement methodologies that enables and ensures saving schemes deliver to time, quality, cost and performance.
- Role modelling and embedding deep understanding of risk and dependency management within and across the Efficiency and Clinical Productivity Programme and wider organisational and clinical transformation agenda;
- Leading, inspiring and managing specialist efficiency business partners, programme, project and PMO professionals, along with wider delivery partner resources to ensure quality delivery, build strong and effective relationships across the group and create alignment to key organisational strategies, goals and objectives;
- Championing and improving financial improvement delivery standards and driving up compliance through the development, improvement and standardisation of guidance materials, toolkits and techniques that ensure and safeguard alignment and consistency;
