A unique opportunity has arisen to join the Acute Response Team as a Advanced Clinical Practitioner. The ART is a recently formed innovative team and we now have opportunity to expand the team.
The ART covers a 24/7 service responding to referrals for unwell and deteriorating patients across all adult wards and departments at The Rotherham (Company Name - Subscribers only) Foundation Trust, monitoring of ICU step downs and provides trust-wide education on NEWS2 & management of deteriorating patients whilst also providing some support to the out of hours medical teams.
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, innovative, and driven advanced clinical practitioner to the Acute Response Team from nursing or AHP background, applicants should have experience of caring for acutely ill patients ideally within critical care/emergency department or similar backgrounds.

Main duties of the job
The post-holder will provide clinical expertise, leadership, collaboration and education to ensure that patients at risk of deterioration gain effective, appropriate and timely care.
The ACP (post holder) will engage directly with all members of the multi-disciplinary team in the prevention of and management of deteriorating patients working closely with the on call medical and critical care teams.
The post holder will undertake advanced clinical assessment, initiate investigations and interpret their results so clinical diagnosis can be determined and appropriate treatment initiated.
The post holder will use advanced knowledge and skills to provide autonomous practice to patients including independent clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients at risk of deterioration, preventing admission to critical care and where required supporting that admission.
The post holder will support trust wide education of staff in recognising and responding to deteriorating patients.
