This is a rewarding role which involves working face to face with some of the most in need people in our society: Manchester’s homeless community. Longmire is a 12 bed mixed accommodation fully accessible for our homeless clients who have a restricted mobility. In this role you will help clients through regular support sessions identifying support required around benefits, bank accounts, drug and alcohol referrals, mental health referral, budgeting, getting formal ID, creating personalised support plans, listening to their concerns and needs and eventually moving them on to suitable long term accommodation. This is an extremely rewarding but also at times challenging role which offers excellent opportunities for knowledge building and training. It is a 3 week rota earlies, lates and cover every 3rd week includes a Saturday or Sunday, for which a flexibility payment of 6.7% is paid on top of your wage.

About the Candidate The successful candidate for this role will be empathetic, have strong people skills and be passionate about ending homelessness. You will be a flexible and motivated worker who can deal with rapidly changing situations and enjoy working in a fast paced environment and using a holistic approach. Team work is paramount.
